Reuse and Recycle

So, I've been bringing sandwiches for lunch a lot lately. I can never win when I bring one. I don't really like plastic baggies for numerous reasons: they're expensive, you can taste the plastic, they're very wasteful, and the occasionally don't zip all the way and you have a mess in your bag. I have a small sandwich sized box that I bring on occasion, Hello Kitty of course :P. However, I don't always have room to cram it into my bag, and then it ends up being left in my car. Doing some research I stumbled upon some reusable sandwich wraps - cute. The price? not so cute. I then found a site that gave you instructions on how to make it youself! Woohoo! I think I already know what fabric to use and everything. I wonder if a calzone would be ok in there too? That's my next culinary adventure, making a bunch of different calzones and freezing them for later. Ah, the possibilites: broccoli and cheese, garlicy spinach, grilled veggies, yum.

Maybe I'll get to the wrap, my heart is in the right place - but nothing else is...

I might get to buying this though: Sigg water bottles. I hate the plastic taste mine leaves. Besides, they come in all sorts of designs and last a super long time. I also saw the little tin lunch kits they have - they look very durable (wonder if they could stand a chance with me?). Here is to helping save the environment with one less bottle/sandwich baggie at a time!
