This my friend is your mouth. Waaaay in the back is your tonsils, as shown by the diagram above. If you were to take those tonsils and enlarge them to twice their size; you would have my tonsils.

I spent Memorial Day weekend miserable with an icee and ice pack wrapped around my neck. I had a case of tonsillitis. My tonsils have always been considerably huge, however they never gave me a problem till now. A visit to my ENT resulting in a tonsillectomy date: July 22nd. I'm so nervous! There are few positive experiences from an adult tonsillectomy (until you're healed anyway). Apparently adult tonsillectomies are excruciating and take awhile to heal, whereas children are much different - quick and not as much pain.

From my ENT " Expect to be in misery for at least 2 weeks, if you don't follow the directions you're going to end up back in the hospital for dehydration, and I don't give heavy pain medications because it isn't necessary if you keep drinking."
